King, Ateke-Fibionumama spoke when the General Officer Commanding six Division, Nigerian Army, Major General Jamal Abdussalam paid him homage at his palace in Abuloma, Rivers State, where he on behalf of his people, thanked the GOC for the gesture.
King Ateke-Fibionumama also used the medium to inform the GOC that, his kingdom will continue to support the Nigerian Army in discharging its constitutional responsibilities, saying the visit has opened a new vista of relationship between the kingdom and the Army.
Earlier, in his address, the GOC six Division Nigerian Army, Major General Jamal Abdussalam who doubles as the Land Component Commander, Joint Task Force, South South, Operation Delta Safe, stated that on assumption of command, he considered it very necessary to visit critical stakeholders, as part of his key leadership engagement drive to pay his respect.
The GOC in a statement by the Acting Deputy Director 6 Division Army Public Relations, Major Danjuma Jonah-Danjuma, further disclosed that he was at the palace to seek royal blessings and guidance in discharging his responsibility in line with the command philosophy of the COAS.
