This followed a meeting between Nigerian Senators led by the Senate President, BUKOLA SARAKI and a US Congressional delegation led by Senator CHRISTOPHER COONS.
Together, both sides considered ways to build a better working relationship at the parliamentary level, in a bid to enhance security support in the fight against terrorism and address humanitarian crisis in parts of Nigeria.
According to a statement released by the spokesman for the Senate President, the meeting also discussed how to improve agriculture in Nigeria and provide more jobs for Nigerians.
At the end of the meeting, Senator SARAKI expressed the hope that the United States’ offer to sell arms to Nigeria would become a reality.
