US says North Korea summit shows Putin ‘begging’ for help

The State Department spokesman, Matthew Miller said this during a meeting with North Korean leader, Kim Jong Un, where he renewed warnings that any arms deal could trigger US sanctions.

Miller said travelling across the length of his own country to meet with an international pariah to ask for assistance in a war that he expected to win in the opening month, Putin could be characterized as begging for assistance.

He said President Putin had launched the war against Ukraine, with a dream of restoring the glory of the Russian Empire, but that hope and expectation of his, has failed.
