The expelled students include four from the Faculty of Pharmaceutical Sciences who were caught in examination malpractice during the 2015/2016 second semester examination.
A male postgraduate student in the Department of Educational Management was also rusticated, while a female student in the College of Health Sciences was expelled after it was discovered that she had have previously failed-out from the Bachelor of Medicine programme.
The decisions were taken by the UNIPORT Senate at its four hundred and thirty-second meeting, which held last Thursday.
A statement from the UNIPORT Management also indicates that some members of staff are also being investigated by the Senior Staff Disciplinary Committee for alleged complicity in the scam.
Additionally; seven officials of the university were slammed indefinite suspension for allegedly taking part in the demolition of a building under construction within the university campus.
