The Secretary to the state government, Tammy Danagogo spoke when the new Comptroller of Immigration in Rivers State, Mohammed Sadiq; the new Comptroller of Immigration, Rivers Marine Command, Bashir Mohammed-Lawal, and members of their team visited his office, and emphasized that the State Government has never hesitated to work in partnership with Federal Government Agencies.
Danagogo assured that Governor Fubara is friendly and welcoming, noting that wherever it is necessary to support the Immigration Service, the governor will certainly do so.
In his remark, the Comptroller of Immigration, Rivers State Command, Sadiq, said the visit was expedient to appreciate the Rivers State Government’s immense support to the Nigerian Immigration Service and to familiarize themselves with the Secretary to the State Government.
Sadiq noted that the Immigration Service is the lead Agency in border security and that Rivers State is a major stakeholder in the development of the marine and blue economy.
