President Bola Ahmed Tinubu has officially renamed the University of Maiduguri (UNIMAID) in Borno State after former President Muhammadu Buhari.
The announcement was made on Thursday during an expanded Federal Executive Council (FEC) meeting held at the Presidential Villa in Abuja. The meeting was convened in honour of the former Nigerian leader, recognizing his service and contributions to the nation.
The renaming of the federal institution is part of broader efforts to immortalize President Buhari’s legacy.
