The demonstration in Rabat was called in solidarity with protests taking place in the north of the country against rising youth unemployment.
The protesters chanted anti-government slogans; as well as made allegations of official corruption and official failure.
Trouble started last Friday when violence broke out in the town of al-Hoceima after police tried to arrest a well-known activist NASSER ZEFZAFI.
However; ZEFZAFI has now been arrested after previously evading the police
