The opposition leader in the Republic of Congo, GUY-BRICE PARFAIT KOLELAS, has asked his supporters to accept the outcome of the presidential election of last month.

KOLELAS finished second in the election that was marred by irregularities and gave President DENIS SASSOU NGUESSOU a third term in office.
KOLELAS was quoted in a report by Reuters news agency saying that he accept the verdict of the Constitutional Court, however questionable.
The appeal was made following the outbreak of violence in Brazzaville on Monday, which forced the deployment of troops on the streets.
The controversial election gave President NGUESSOU WON more than sixty percent of the vote.
