The Nigerian military launch attacks on Boko Haram Camps leaving many insurgents dead

This time; the Nigerian Air Force said its air strike has killed some key leaders of the Boko Haram and wounded many others, including the leader of the sect, Abubakar Shekau.

The Acting Director of Army Public Relations, Colonel SANI USMAN said the Air Force struck the group’s location at Taye Village, Borno State.

The statement described the latest air strike on the Boko Haram last Friday as most unprecedented and spectacular.

The Army spokesman said the terrorists were performing rituals at Taye village, within Gombale general area in the Sambisa forest, when they came under attack.

Colonel SANI USMAN listed some of the Boko Haram commanders killed to include ABUBAKAR MUBI, MALAM NUHU and MALAM HAMMAN.

Colonel USMAN said the so called ABUBAKAR SHEKAU is believed to be wounded on his shoulders.

Meanwhile; the Department of State Service has announced the arrest of a man identified as the spiritual leader of the Boko Haram sect.

Online-based PR-Nigeria quoted a DSS statement identifying the suspect as MUDAISIRU JIBRIN, who is also known as NAMAKELE ALARAMA.

The report said the suspect was arrested on 17th July at Sauna quarters, around Yankaba area in Kano State.
