The latest round of supremacy cult battle in Ubima community in Ikwerre Local Government Area of Rivers State has claimed the lives of eight people.
Folowing the development; a group known as Ikwerre Citizen for Democratic Movement has resolved to write to former governor and Minister of Transportation, CHIBUIKE AMAECHI, to come to the rescue of his home community.The President of a group, PRECIOUS DIKEWOHA, made this known during a stakeholders meeting to promote peace in the area.DIKEWOHA said because of the prevailing crisis, people of Ubima community now live in constant fear and anxiety, while the aged parents are regularly taking ill as a result.He stressed the need for political leaders and other stakeholders in Ubima community to consider themselves first as brothers and sisters, and come together to stop further bloodshed.
