The decision to locate a waste dump around Army Range at Igwuruta is not going down well with residents of that part of Ikwerre Local Government Area in Rivers State.Residents of Igwuruta community are complaining about the implication of the refuse dump site to their health.Our correspondent, UCHENDU EJIOWHOR, who visited the area off Eneka road reports that some inhabitants have abandoned their homes because of the unhygienic environment.Similarly; another refuse dump site located along Eagle Cement road within Rumuolumeni community in Obio-Akpor Local Government Area is also constituting a nuisance to the environment.Owners of businesses in the area are now faced with the risk of closing their shops on account of the threat posed by the refuse dump.
