The National Emergency Management Agency (NEMA) has confirmed that more than 10 people have died in the boat mishap that occurred on the River Niger in Kogi State. In a statement posted on Thursday, the agency said 24 passengers have so far been rescued while 42 others remain missing. Search and rescue operations are ongoing.
