This was made known in a report released by United Kingdom-based Conflict Armament Research campaign group.
The group said it has evidence that Sudan has also distributed military material to armed groups in several other African countries.
The organization, which maintains a database funded by the European Union and Switzerland, further claims that it obtained its findings from arms apparently captured from the Sudanese military by rebels.
The report was released days after heavy fighting in Darfur, where President OMAR AL BASHIR accused Egypt of arming rebels with armoured vehicles.
But Egypt’s foreign ministry has denied that the government was supporting the Sudanese rebels.
