Major global airlines have cancelled or suspended flights to and from several Middle Eastern destinations, leaving many Nigerians stranded at airports. The disruptions follow escalating hostilities involving the United States and Iran, which triggered widespread airspace closures across parts of the region.
The Federal Airports Authority of Nigeria advised passengers to maintain contact with their airlines for updates and rebooking arrangements. The cancellations have affected travel routes connecting Nigeria with countries such as Qatar, the United Arab Emirates, and Saudi Arabia, disrupting business trips, pilgrimages, and academic travel.
