Reigning African champions Algeria have replaced Cote d’Ivoire as the opponents of the Super Eagles in the first of two international friendly matches arranged by the Nigeria Football Federation to be played in Austria next month. The matches fall within the FIFA window for international matches and have been approved by world football –governing body, FIFA and CAF.

The composition sees the return of one-time U20 Boys’ Head Coach, Isah Ladan Bosso, with Christopher Danjuma retaining the U20 Girls’ lead role, and Bankole Olowookere emerging as Head Coach of the U17 girls, Flamingos.

Rivers State Commissioner for Sport Hon. Boma Iyaye says Rivers United have been “compelled” to ask the Court of Arbitration for Sport for “the proper interpretation of the applicable rules on the pronouncement and propriety or otherwise of the actions and decisions” of the League Management Company in arriving at a final league table for the curtailed 2019-20 Nigeria Professional Football League season.
