Chairman of Abia Warriors, Emeka Inyama has said he believes Moses Aderele is ready to step up as the head coach after several years as an assistant.

Aderele will lead the Umuahia club in the new NPFL season following the exit of Cameroonian Coach Emmanuel Deutsche.

Inyama said the new coach has the chance to prove himself.

“It was time for him to be given an opportunity to showcase his technical abilities, with him having great understanding of the clubs goals and objectives,” he said.

“I strongly have confidence in him that he can do the job, that is the more reason why we appointed him to head the team.

“It is time to prove to us that the opportunity will be fully utilised by him to achieve a good result.

“We will give him all the necessary support and assistance we always accord to every head coach of the club for him to excel.”

In the past five years, Aderele has assisted the likes of Abdullahi Biffo, Emmanuel Deutsch and Kennedy Boboye.
