The Rivers State Government is set to payoff financial arrears covering sign-on fees for players and officials of the three state-owned professional football clubs for one season.The Commissioner for Sports, BOMA IYAYE gave this indication when he received the leadership of the supporters club of Sharks, Dolphins and Rivers Angels on a courtesy visit.Responding, the Chairman of Sharks FC supporters club, ISAIAH OWHOR expressed confidence that the commissioner will move the football clubs forward.Our correspondent reports that the players and officials of the three Rivers State football clubs are expected to smile to the banks before the kick-off of the new season next month.
