Floyd Mayweather has officially been stripped of the WBO welterweight belt he took from Manny Pacquaio in May.
Mayweather claimed the first WBO title of his career when a wide points verdict against Pacquiao took his unbeaten record to 48-0.

Boxing's pound-for-pound king later hinted at relinquishing one or more of his multiple belts ahead of one final fight in September this year, only to object when the WBO sanctioned a contest for its vacant title between Timothy Bradley and Jesse Vargas.
The organisation relented and gave Mayweather a deadline to meet its criteria for a champion, including making a payment of $200,000 from his Pacquiao purse and giving up his WBC and WBA light-middleweight titles.
