Nigeria's Under-23 national football team has defeated their Malian counterpart three-two in a Group B game of the African Cup of Nations in Senegal.

 

Nigeria's Under-23 national football team has defeated their Malian counterpart three-two in a Group B game of the African Cup of Nations in Senegal. Team Nigeria raced into a three-goal lead at half time through a brace from Junior AJAYI and a strike from FC Taraba's USMAN MOHAMMED. The Malians hit back with second-half goals from ADAMA NIANE and SOULEYMANE SISSOKO. Nigeria’s head coach SAMSON SIASIA said although the match was a difficult one, his team played well. Egypt and Algeria played out a one-one draw in their Group B opener at the Caroline Faye Stadium in M’Bour.
