The latest criticism is coming from three former leaders, who in an unprecedented move, called for discussions to address what they consider as threats to South Africa democracy.
FREDRICK W. DE KLERK, THABO MBEKI and KGALEMA MOTLANTHE came together to make the call in Johannesburg.
Together; DE KLERK, MBEKI and MOTLANTHE have formed what they call the National Foundations Dialogue Initiative to advance the new agenda.
DE KLERK, who was the last President to be elected under white-minority rule in South Africa, particularly accused President ZUMA of not upholding the constitution.
On his part; MBEKI said anyone who is undermining the constitution is subverting the will of the people.
MOTLANTHE, who is ZUMA’s immediate predecessor, said South Africa needs to be free of corruption.
