The charge was made in a message by the Governor to the opening ceremony of Batch B-Stream Two participants of the National Youth Service Corps scheme.
The message was delivered by the Secretary to the Rivers State Government, Chief KENNETH KOBANI, during the ceremony at the State Orientation Camp of NYSC at Nonwa in Tai Local Government Area.
He noted that the essence of the NYSC programme was to give orientation to Nigerian youths to enable them work in line with the developmental agenda of government.
In his address; the NYSC State Coordinator, OMOTAYO ADEWOYE, urged the corps members to be responsible in the discharge of their primary assignment.
Our correspondent UCHENDU EJIOWHOR reports that two thousand, nine hundred and forty corps members are deployed in Rivers State under Batch B-Stream Two.
The batch included one thousand, one hundred and six male and one thousand, eight hundred and thirty female.
