SERAP the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission, EFCC and Independent Corrupt Practices and Other Related Offences Commission, ICPC should be urged to track expenses of federal agencies and state governors on the coronavirus.
The group in an open letter signed by its Deputy Director, KOLAWOLE OLUWADARE to President BUHARI said while Coronavirus crisis requires quick responses, it also requires corruption safeguards to ensure public funds are well spent, and promote access to basic public health and other services to those most in need.
SERAP recalled that during the Ebola crisis there were those who aim to profit from others most affected by the crisis.
