Senator Nenadi Usman, Chairman of the Labour Party Caretaker Committee, expressed her enthusiasm on Friday regarding the Supreme Court’s recent ruling that overturned the Court of Appeal’s decision recognizing Julius Abure as the National Chairman of the Labour Party (LP).
In a statement, Usman hailed the apex court’s decision as a victory for the rule of law and a significant milestone for democracy in the country. The Supreme Court’s five-member panel determined that the Court of Appeal in Abuja lacked the jurisdiction to declare Abure as the LP’s National Chairman.
Despite the ruling, Usman reaffirmed that the Labour Party is committed to its mission of fostering a new Nigeria, emphasizing the party’s resilience and determination to advance its goals in the political landscape.
