This was confirmed yesterday to newsmen at the National Assembly by the Senior Special Assistant on National Assembly Matters (Senate), Senator Abdullahi Gumel.
Gumel explained that some of the ministries which were merged will now stand alone namely the Ministry of Works and Housing, which is the reason for the number of ministerial nominees.
The Senate on Monday confirmed forty five out of forty eight ministerial nominees sent to the upper chamber by President Bola Tinubu.
Former Kaduna State Governor Nasir El-Rufai, Stella Okotete from Delta State, and Abubakar Danladi from Taraba State, are the remaining nominees to be confirmed by the Senate.
Senate President, Godswill Akpabio explained the nominees were not confirmed because they are still undergoing security checks.
