Education stakeholders have raised concerns over the readiness of schools for the planned transition to fully computer-based Senior School Certificate Examinations. The examinations, conducted by the West African Examinations Council and the National Examinations Council, are expected to go digital in 2026. Experts warn that inadequate infrastructure, limited access to computers, and poor internet connectivity could pose major challenges to effective implementation.
They urged federal and state governments to invest in ICT facilities and teacher training to ensure a smooth and credible transition to the new examination format.
