Roddick: Djokovic remains my greatest male tennis star of all time

Former world No. 1 and US Open champion Andy Roddick has once again paid tribute to Serbian tennis legend Novak Djokovic, describing him as the greatest male player in the history of the sport.

Roddick made the remarks while reflecting on the ongoing “Greatest of All Time” debate in men’s tennis, which continues to centre on Djokovic, Roger Federer, and Rafael Nadal.

According to the American, Djokovic’s record and consistency across all surfaces make him stand out above his rivals, particularly when assessing long-term dominance at the highest level of the game.

Roddick, who retired after a successful career that included a US Open title and multiple Grand Slam final appearances, has in the past acknowledged the difficulty of separating the modern greats. However, he reiterated that Djokovic’s statistical achievements and longevity give him the edge in the GOAT conversation.

Djokovic currently holds the men’s record for Grand Slam singles titles and has spent a record number of weeks as world No. 1, further strengthening his case in the ongoing debate over tennis’ greatest player of all time.

The Serbian star, still active on the tour, continues to add to his legacy as he competes against the next generation of players.
