ROCH MARC CHRISTIAN KABORE has been sworn-in as President of Burkina Faso.
The inauguration of the former banker was witnessed by thousands of cheering supporters.
Reports say several African heads of state also attended the presidential inauguration in the capital, Ouagadougou.
KABORE comes in as a stabilizing force, having won the first elections since the overthrow of long-serving ruler BLAISE COMPAORE in a popular uprising last year.
Meanwhile; about twenty soldiers have been detained for allegedly plotting to free General GILBERT DIENDERE who had attempted to overthrown the interim government in the country in September.
