Rivers Women Group Intensifies Prayers for Peace, Calls for Fubara’s Reinstatement

The Rivers Women Prayer Group, operating under the platform Rivers Women Unite for SIM, has intensified its weekly intercessory prayers for lasting peace in Rivers State and an end to insurgency and banditry in other parts of Nigeria.

At their latest prayer session held on Thursday in Port Harcourt, the group specifically prayed for the restoration of peace in crisis-hit states, including Benue, Borno, Plateau, Nasarawa, Yobe, and Zamfara.

The group stressed that insecurity in any part of the country poses a significant threat to national stability. They also commended the First Lady, Senator Oluremi Tinubu, for her recent humanitarian outreach and donations of relief materials to displaced persons across affected communities.

Speaking on behalf of the group, media officer Glory Sunday described the First Lady’s gesture as a reflection of “compassionate leadership” and a much-needed show of support for victims of violence and displacement.

The group also called for the immediate reinstatement of Rivers State Governor Siminalayi Fubara and the state lawmakers, citing their roles as crucial to the continued development and stability of the state.

Reaffirming their commitment to continued intercession, Rivers Women Unite for SIM encouraged Nigerians to remain prayerful, united, and hopeful for a more peaceful and prosperous nation.
