MACBAN explained that the measure is aimed at reducing the frequent clashes between herders and farmers across the country, particularly in Rivers State.
In a telephone interview with Today FM Olawale Sanusi, the Chairman of MACBAN in Rivers State, Muhamad Abubakar, confirmed that a sensitization meeting for members has been scheduled for next week, with enforcement of the ban to begin shortly afterwards.
He described the move as a significant step towards preventing recurring clashes between herders and farmers in the state.
