While some Lawmakers during debate commended the Rivers state government for coming up with what they described as a universal health scheme, the member representing Obio-Akpor Constituency two, MICHAEL CHINDA said the government should state how much will be deducted from the salaries of civil servants to avoid protests from organised labour.
On his part; member representing Ogba-Egbema-Ndoni Constituency one, CHRISTIAN AHIAKWO said the Bill is aimed at increasing the life expectancy of Rivers people.
Speaker of the House, OWAJI-IGBANI in his remark advised that when the bill is eventually assented to, lawmakers must ensure the implementation of the law meets the desire of the state government.
