Rivers state government warns principals against giving school facilities out

The Commissioner for Education, Professor Chinedu Mmom gave the warning while meeting with Principals at the Government Girls Secondary School Rumuokwuta, in Port Harcourt.

The commissioner said any approval for the use of Government owned school facilities must come from him.

He noted that the directive must strictly be adhered to by all Principals and Head Teachers and those who flaunt it stand the risk of losing their jobs.

According to the commissioner, governor Nyesom Wike has on several occasions paid unscheduled visits to some schools and has observed with dismay that some Principals let out School facilities under their care to groups who vandalize and steal items from them.
