Rivers state Governemnt ready to support any measure to restore power sector

 

Deputy Governor of the State, Doctor Ipalibo Harry-Banigo made this known during the opening Power-to-Power Summit organized by Port Harcourt Chamber of Commerce Industry, Mines and Agriculture in Port Harcourt.

 

Doctor Harry -Banigo who was represented by the Permanent Secretary, state Ministry of commerce and Industries, LAWSON IKURU called for collective effort in the fight against activities of vandals which he said have resulted to loss of revenue.

In his address, the President, Port Harcourt Chamber of Commerce Industry, Mines and Agriculture, Mike Elechi said the summit is aimed at not only identifying solution to the power sector, but to turn such solution into business opportunities for the good of the nation.

Elechi said it is expected that at the end of the summit ideas will be developed on how to better the power sector.

Today fm’s Uchendu EjiowhoR reports that Sylvanus Kingston and Emeka Okwuosa, who are principal partners in the Power-to-Power Summit, insisted on power reform and sustainability which they said will ensure capital investment.

 

The theme of the Power-to-Power Summit is; Exploiting Business Opportunities in the Power Industry.
