Rivers Police Declare Former Ahoada-East Officials Wanted Over Alleged Attack on LGA Administrator

The Rivers State Police Command has declared two former top officials of Ahoada East Local Government Area — Hector Ekakita, former Chief Security Officer, and Aloni Olodi, former Chief of Staff — wanted in connection with an alleged attack on the current Administrator of the LGA, Goodluck Iheanachor.

In a statement issued on Sunday, the Police Public Relations Officer, SP Grace Iringe-Koko, said the duo failed to honour a formal invitation to appear at the State Police Headquarters for questioning over their alleged involvement in the incident.

“Despite a public notice and official invitation, Hector Ekakita and Aloni Olodi have blatantly refused to present themselves to the authorities,” the statement read.

The Police Command said efforts to apprehend the suspects are ongoing, and the public is urged to provide useful information on their whereabouts.

Meanwhile, the Commissioner of Police in Rivers State, CP Olugbenga Adepoju, has issued a stern warning to individuals or groups who may be aiding the suspects in evading arrest.

“Anyone found assisting, harbouring, or shielding the wanted individuals will be treated as an accomplice and prosecuted in accordance with the law,” CP Adepoju said, reaffirming the command’s commitment to maintaining law and order in the state.

The police emphasized that all citizens are equal before the law and that no one involved in acts of violence will escape justice.
