The Emohua farmers association of Nigeria who made this known to Today fm’s Sandra Kenneth appealed to state government to make available soft loans for them, adding that large scale farming requires adequate tools and equipment.
Chairman of the association, Eyindah Chukwuma further disclosed that they have over two thousand registered farmers in the area but they are still unable to produce adequately for the people in Rivers state.
Enyindah stressed that the soft loans will also help alleviate poverty and starvation in the local government and beyond through effective and radical farming approach to produce surplus food for the people.
