In a statement made available to Today Fm, Tolofari George said the aircraft was taken to Germany for repairs and refurbishment and to be sold to generate revenue for critical infrastructural projects in the state, since there was another Rivers state government owned aircraft.
He explained further that everything about the aircraft was properly documented by the ministry of transportation under his watch in the handover notes to Nyesom Wike administration in 2015.
The former Commissioner wondered why Governor Wike will allegedly sought to malign and attack his predecessor and the minister for transportation, Rotimi Amaechi, by making false accusation when he knew since 2015, that the aircraft was taken to Germany for repairs, Refurbishment and to be sold because it was more economical to sell it off.
