Speaking to our correspondent in an interview, a former Chief of Staff, Rivers State Government House, Tony Okocha said the news came to him with some form of shock.
He said nobody could blame Golden Chioma for his action, owing to the crisis and division in the party.
Tony Okocha, also said it was unfortunate that the leader of APC in Rivers State, Rotimi Amaechi has not made any move to reconcile the factions and aggrieved members of the party in the State, in spite of his promise to do so.
In a related development, another chieftain of the APC in Rivers State, Sogbeye Eli argued that the resignation of Golden Chioma should not be a thing of concern to anyone because he has not been an asset to the party since 2018.
Sogbeye Eli, appealed to APC members to give the former minister of Transportation some time, assuring that he would resolve the crisis in the state APC.
