Reactions continue to trail the judgment by the Rivers State Governorship Election Tribunal, nullifying the election of Governor NYESOM WIKE. The former senator representing Rivers South-East Senatorial District, MAGNUS ABE, said the judgment is a justification for the struggle of the All Progressives Congress in Rivers State and vindication for justice.
Senator ABE said the APC had always maintained confidence that there are judges in Nigeria who will deliver justice to Rivers people. In a statement by his spokesman, PARRY SAROH BENSON, Senator ABE said the verdict of the tribunal clearly demonstrates that the truth will always prevail despite any amount of suppression.
ABE called on all well-meaning Rivers people, especially supporters of the All Progressives Congress, to remain steadfast, adding that Rivers people will have the opportunity to exercise their franchise, which he said was denied them during the 2015 general elections on March 28th and 11th of April. The former chairman of the Senate Committee on Petroleum Downstream also congratulated former governor and APC leader in Rivers State, ROTIMI AMAECHI and the governorship candidate of the APC, DAKUKU PETERSIDE on the success at the Tribunal.
