Imam YUSUF MUHAMMAD-LEMIS says obedience to divine teachings, rules and order will help strengthen unity among Nigerians.
The Chief Imam of Bonny Island Central Mosque gave the admonition in a Pre-Ramadan lecture organized by the Rivers State Area Unit of the Muslim Students Society of Nigeria.
Addressing a gathering of Muslim faithful at Rukpoku Mosque in Obio-Akpor Local Government Area, Chief Imam MUHAMMAD-LEMIS charged members of the Muslim community in Rivers State to rededicate themselves to the service of Allah.
He said dedication and commitment to the service of God will help to divert the minds of people from criminal activities and promote a better society.
Speaking in an interview with correspondent UCHENDU EJIOHWOR, the President of the Rivers State Area Unit of the Muslim Students Society of Nigeria, IBRAHIM ADE highlighted the benefits of the Ramadan fast.
IBRAHIM ADE also criticized the attribution of the activities of herdsmen and Boko Haram terrorists to Islam.
