The People’s Redemption Party, PRP, in Rivers State has concluded the screening of candidates for its State Executive positions ahead of the party’s State Congress scheduled for Friday, February 13, 2026.
Speaking with journalists after the exercise, the Chairman of the PRP Electoral Committee, Synchro Uchendu, said all positions except that of Vice Chairman were successfully resolved through consensus.
He described the forthcoming Congress as a critical step toward strengthening the party’s internal structure and positioning it effectively for the 2027 general elections.
A member of the PRP Electoral Committee, Stella Nwobike, also commended party members for their discipline, cooperation, and peaceful conduct throughout the screening process.
