Subsequently, further hearing of the sixteen-count charge has been adjourned till 11th of January next year when Senator SARAKI is expected to open his defence.
The case was adjourned at the end of cross-examination of the star witness, MICHAEL WETKAS who is a detective of the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission.
Our correspondent JAMES IGAH reports that WETKAS was cross-examined fourteen times over a period of three months.
In his ruling for adjustment, the CCT Chairman, DANLADI UMAR said he had other important things to attend to before the next hearing.
