Speaking in an interview with our correspondent in Abuja, Senator ABE joined other lawmakers to call for an overhaul of the power sector privatisation.
The Chairman of the Senate Committee on Federal Road Maintenance Agency noted that the current arrangement in the sector was counterproductive.
The APC Senator from Rivers State alleged that the past administrations sold Nigeria’s power infrastructure to cronies who lacked the capacity to handle electricity installations.
Senator MAGNUS ABE also frowned at the persistent practice of estimated billing by electricity distribution companies, stressing that it was helping to cheat Nigerians.
