Our correspondent SANDRA KENNETH reports that members of the so-called milk and honey group, as well as the Greenland cult group at Obiezimini and Iceland group of Egikpo are the latest to be enlisted in the amnesty programme.
The repentant cultists surrendered two G3, one AK-47, one pump action, nine dynamites, thirty special ammo, ten Dane guns and twenty eight cartridges.
The Greenland group was led by one IKECHUKWU ISAAC who said the reason for their delay was not to disobey the government but to properly talk to his boys on the amnesty programme.
IKECHUKWU also blamed multinational companies for youth restiveness in their host communities.
He identified poverty as the driving force of violence in ONELGA and urged government to intervene between communities and the companies to provide employment for their people.
In his response, the special adviser to the governor on amnesty KENNETH CHINDA promised that government will liaise with all companies in Rivers state to ensure that host communities get what is due to them.
