President Buhari flags off construction of the Nigeria Liquefied Natural Gas train seven

During the ceremony attended virtually, President Buhari commended the NLNG and its shareholders for proving that a Nigerian company can operate a world-class business in safety, profitability and responsibility.

 He said the focus of his administration was to boost the development of Nigeria’s abundant gas resources, strengthen the gas value chain, develop the most needed infrastructure and enhance safe operations in the sector as outlined in the national gas policy of 2017.

Also speaking, the Minister of state for Petroleum resources, Timiprye Sylva said the current administration is determined to pay more attention to the provision of gas for domestic use, power generation and auto gas vehicles in the country.

On his part, Rivers state Governor who was represented by his deputy, Ipalibo Harry-Banigo encouraged the federal government to hasten the completion of other projects in the state, including the bonny-bodo and the east west road projects.
