OGBUMGBADA is accused of involvement in the recent kidnapping of the son of the paramount Ruler of Rumualogu in Obio-Akpor Local Government Area of Rivers State.
OGBUMGBADA was arraigned before Justice MAGARET OKPARA of the State High Court sitting in Port Harcourt and he pleaded not guilty to the three-count charge preferred against him, including conspiracy and attempted murder of FORTUNE OGBUMGBADA.
After entertaining applications in favour and against bail for the accused persons by the defence and prosecution lawyers, Justice OKPARA adjourned till 4th July for hearing on the bail motion.
The trial judge ordered VINCENT OGBUMGBADA to remain in police custody pending the determination of the bail application.
After the court session; one of the defence lawyers, STELLA BOBMANUEL, told newsmen outside the courtroom that she was hopeful her client would be granted bail.
The prosecution lawyer in the VINCENT OGBUMGBADA alleged kidnapping trial refused to talk to newsmen.
