Today FM correspondent gathered that the police officer whose identity is yet to be revealed lost his life while dragging some items with suspected Internet fraudsters popularly called yahoo boys.
The officer was reported to have stopped the suspects who were in an expensive vehicle in other to demand for either money, documents or their mobile phones.
An eyewitness who alerted today FM of the incident, said the driver of the vehicle zoomed off while the right hand of the police officer was still inside the vehicle and dragged him alongside in a long distance on the road.
Our source said the officer died instantly when he fell from the car after the occupants of the vehicle opened the door.
