Suspected cultists numbering about fifty armed with different types of dangerous weapons were reported to have ransacked Eagle Island,Timber, Echue through the stretch of Illabouchi attacking and robbing passersby and shop owners.
Today FM gathered that the rampaging cultists are members of a cult group whose member was reportedly hacked to death last Sunday night by a faction of the same cult group at a waterfronts in Mile two Diobu Port Harcourt.
An eyewitness, Peter Rowland who said he ran into the rampaging cultists said people were scampering for safety as the cult members attacked innocent peoples while searching for their rivals.
While the spokesman of the state command, Grace Iringe-Koko promised to get back to today fm with full details of the incident, about five police patrol vans were sighted in the area.
