The command’s Public Relations officer, Grace Iringe-Koko in a statement said the commissioner of Police, Nwonyi Emeka takes misconduct of personnel seriously and is concerned about the reported incident.
Iringe-Koko who is also a Superintendent of Police,assured that action will be taken against the police personnel, if found guilty.
According to the statement, the Commissioner of Police also vowed not to protect any officer found culpable of any criminal offence in the state, warning that any policeman involved in crime would be prosecuted accordingly.
The statement further said CP Emeka promised that the matter would not be swept under the carpet,adding that the command will be delighted, if the affected persons visit the headquarters on Moscow Road in Port Harcourt, to make their complaints for easy apprehension of the culprits.
