The command in a statement by the Spokesman, Superintendent of police, Nnamdi Omoni, said Osita was arrested after a case of car snatching was reported by one Yusuf Ogunshola, a Bolt driver who was hired from Effurun in Delta State to Port Harcourt and taken to Abel Street in Diobu were the other members of the robbery team were waiting.
The statement said the Bolt driver who was attacked at gunpoint and robbed off his belongings including the sum of eighty-seven thousand naira was later locked up in a toilet belonging to a bank.
SP Omoni said investigations revealed that the car was later abandoned with the men fleeing leaving behind Nnali Osita.
The statement further vowed to come hard on miscreants in the State while advising Transporters to be vigilant.
