The three accused and one other now at large are alleged to have conspired and imported one pistol and one hundred rounds of ammunition which was discovered at the Eastern Port Zone, Area Two, Onne, in Eleme Local Government Area of Rivers State.
When the charges were read out, the accused pleaded not guilty to the charges, and Chief Magistrate Nneka Eze-Obuzor, granted them bail in the sum of two million naira each with a surety.
Speaking in an interview with Today FM Uchendu Ejiowhor, a representative of the Eastern Port Nigeria Police command, a Chief Superintendent of Police, Odidi Ubi, said the suspects were arraigned because operatives of the command found a pistol and ammunition inside a container imported by them.
