The protest led to obstruction of the free flow of traffic on the ever-busy Aba Road, with motorists trapped in gridlock and commuters stranded.
The leader of the protest under the umbrella of Persons With Disabilities told our correspondent that intervention of the NDDC meant for their members have failed to trickle down.
Among other things; the disabled protesters want the NDCC to provide employment for their members, grant scholarship to those in school and provide grants for those who want to start up in business.
Our correspondent GLORIA LETAM reports that the management of the NDDC was yet to attend to the disabled protesters at the time of filing this report.
The protesters also maintained their ground in front of the NDDC office, between GRA Junction and Waterlines axis on Aba Road.
